Every time you don't follow your inner guidance you feel a loss of energy, loss of power, a sense of spiritual deadness Shakti Gawaim

Rowena GordonI am confident that each individual has the answers they need within themselves, there are times when we find it difficult to access these and to find the inner resources we need to lead a balanced life.

We are all unique and experience our lives in our own individual way, when difficulties arise, we may...

Sometimes periods in our lives can become overwhelming and affect every day life and relationships. It is times like these when counselling really can help.

Life RingsCounselling provides space and opportunity for reflection within a relationship in which we can be ourselves, be heard, and accepted for whom we are and explore our feelings and thoughts. Expressing thoughts and feelings in such a way assists us to see difficulties and situations more clearly and relieves tension anxiety and fears. Increased self awareness brings about a more effective way of living and wellbeing. Self understanding enables us to make decisions that take us forward in life. The reflective process in the counselling relationship helps to develop self acceptance and compassion towards oneself. This awareness impacts upon our spontaneity and creativity to achieve what we are searching for. Tuning into our inherent intuition helps us to consider what we need and what action we can take to enrich our life.

Nothing in life is to be feared. It is only to be understood Marie Curie

A relationship between counsellor and client is an interconnected, collaborative process and the uniqueness of this relationship can have significant healing. To have an opportunity within a therapeutic, confidential, accepting and non judgmental relationship enables one to explore thoughts and feelings. Talking about thoughts, feelings and reflecting on the difficulties we are experiencing can bring about great relief. Sharing our problems can lead to a greater understanding of ourselves and empower us to make improved choices and decisions.

Sometimes a crisis point in our lives is a challenge that is needed to move us on, build on our existing strengths and find new ways to live life more effectively.
