About Me

I firmly believe in the ability of every individual to use their own inner wisdom to enable them to live a fulfilled and satisfying life, reaching their potential. As an accomplished counsellor and a humanistic practitioner, I have a passionate interest in helping people within a respectful, meaningful therapeutic relationship in providing the support and space they need at a particular time in their lives, with whatever problems they wish to bring and to work through with me.

I am certain we have within us the capacity to "heal" ourselves and by becoming more self aware and by developing direct insight into our emotions, our behaviour, how we think, how we feel, how we respond to others and our situation provides a different perspective into who we are, what we want to achieve, and how we want to be.

A moment's insight is sometimes worth a life's experience Oliver Wendell Holmes (1809 - 1894)

I am a Member of the British Association for Counsellors and Psychotherapists (BACP) and bound by its ethical framework for good practice in counselling and psychotherapy. I am subject to the British Association for Counsellors and Psychotherapists professional conduct procedure and a copy of the framework is available on request. I am ethically obliged (regardless of how well qualified or experienced a therapist) to be in clinical supervision, discussing my therapeutic work with a senior practitioner without identifying the client. My main concern is to provide a safe and confidential setting in which clients can trust and feel certain that their identity and issues that arise remain anonymous according to the terms of the Guidance of Ethical Principals and Good Practice in Counselling and Psychotherapy.
